Lung Capacity Experiment – Sport of a Scientific Kind!

We all know that Mr Wainwright and Mr Prosser love their sport and cannot resist a challenge, so when scientist Atomic Tom asked for volunteers to see who could create the most air pressure – yes you’ve guessed it – Mr Wainwright and Mr Prosser jumped at the chance.
As you can see from the photo below, they put all their effort into increasing the air pressure inside the bottle. After close inspection, by Atomic Tom, it was agreed that they had both forced the same amount of water from the bottle, although Mr Prosser would have liked a more accurate form of measure!

Exercise makes your lungs and heart stronger for increased energy and endurance. That means you can play, walk or run longer. How do you make sure you are getting these benefits of exercise? Just playing hopscotch or tag on the playground is good for your body, but remember we have lots of clubs, after school, such as netball, tag rugby and football, that you can be a part of.
